St. Martin’s Chapel in Blackwood was opened in 1896 and since then has served the community as a place of worship firstly as the Methodist Church, then as the Uniting Church. Although it is still the Uniting Church, following recent renovations it was renamed St. Martin’s Chapel. Our vision is to invite others to share our space to enhance and strengthen the community. St Martin's hosts Concerts, classes & workshops, art shows, markets, town and family celebrations along with charity fundraising, pre-school and health and well-being activities and much more. St. Martin’s is now managed by a committed volunteer group and is available for hire.
