Help Moorabool thrive

Want to help Moorabool Shire thrive?

As part of this federal election campaign, you can tell politicians and candidates you’d like them to publicly back Moorabool Shire’s priority projects.

We’ve worked with the community to identify what we want and need to make the Shire an even better place to live and work. To do this, we need to urge current and aspiring federal politicians for the seats of Hawke and Ballarat to promise to support the major projects we’ve identified on behalf of the community.

What you need to do:

  1. Start a new email and add the following recipients: sam.rae@vic.alp.org.auenamul.haque@vic.liberal.org.aumaxmartucci@tnl.net.auhawke@unitedaustraliaparty.org.aujack.hynes@victoriansocialists.org.auglennvessey63@gmail.comsnakecatcher@live.com.auoffice@vic.greens.org.auhawke@ausfedparty.com.aucatherine.king.mp@aph.gov.auben.green@vic.liberal.org.aujohn.barnes@vic.greens.org.auballarat@unitedaustraliaparty.org.aujulia.mcgrath@ldp.org.aualexgraham04@gmail.comballarat@ausfedparty.com.au

Please note all candidates who have publicly available email addresses have been included in the above list.

  2.  Add the subject line: Helping Moorabool Thrive

  3. In the body copy, add the following text:

Dear federal election candidate,

I am writing to you to support Moorabool Shire Council’s efforts to obtain commitments for federal funding support for major projects of huge importance to our community, including:

  • An indoor pool complex
  • A regional bowls facility including multi-use community spaces
  • Further stages of the Bacchus Marsh 1000+ Steps summit trail project at Bald Hill
  • Sewering of the townships of Wallace and Bungaree
  • Female friendly change rooms for Dunnstown Reserve.

We live in a growing area, with the population set to double in the next 20 years.

Help us to ensure our facilities and infrastructure keep pace with this growth, honour existing campaign commitments and support our efforts to help Moorabool thrive!

Thank you!
