Help Moorabool thrive

Want to help Moorabool Shire thrive?

You can, by telling local members of parliament you’d like them to publicly back Moorabool Shire’s priority projects.

We’ve worked with the community to identify what we want and need to make the Shire an even better place to live and work. To do this, we need to urge our state and federal members to promise to support the major projects we’ve identified on behalf of the community.

What you need to do:

Start a new email and add the following recipients: Michaela Settle, State Member for Eureka - Michaela.Settle@parliament.vic.gov.au, Steve McGhie, State Member for Melton - stephen.mcghie@parliament.vic.gov.au, Sam Rae, Federal Member for Hawke - Sam.Rae.MP@aph.gov.auand Catherine King, Federal Member for Ballarat - Catherine.King.MP@aph.gov.au

Dear local member,

I am writing to you to support Moorabool Shire Council’s efforts to obtain commitments for federal funding support for major projects of huge importance to our community, including:

  • An indoor pool at Bacchus Marsh
  • Sewering of the townships of Wallace and Bungaree
  • Oval upgrades for local townships including Bungaree and Gordon
  • Upgrade of Griffith Street, Bacchus Marsh, including expansion to four lanes.

We live in a growing area, with the population set to double in the next 20 years.

Help us to ensure our facilities and infrastructure keep pace with this growth, honour existing campaign commitments and support our efforts to help Moorabool thrive!

Thank you!

Thank you for supporting Council’s advocacy efforts to help make Moorabool Shire an even better place to live and work.

A community advocacy group has been formed to support the indoor pool project and you can find out more on the group's Facebook page.
