Report an issue with a tree on public land

If you're concerned that a tree on a nature strip, in a public area or park, or public garden is unhealthy, unsafe, or requires trimming or pruning, you can report it to us.

An unsafe or unhealthy tree could include:

  • a fallen tree or large branch on a road, nature strip, or in a park
  • fallen branches
  • a tree that looks unsafe
  • a tree where pests are present
  • a tree touching power lines.

Council is not responsible for maintaining trees on private property. The resident or landowner is responsible for trees and vegetation on their property.

Urgent tree issues on public land

If the issue is dangerous and needs urgent attention, such as a fallen or uprooted tree, or a broken/hanging tree branch that is over a road, footpath, or structure such as a bus shelter, carpark, or playground please call us immediately on 5366 7100.

If calling outside business hours please select option 1 for emergencies.
