Storm 13 February 2024

During the extreme weather event of 13 February 2024 areas of the shire were impacted by a storm and wind event that occurred during the wind change that hit the region on that evening.

Homes were impacted by trees and flying debris with roofs damaged. Trees on roadsides fell and impacted properties. Council’s roadsides and parks had many trees falling during the high winds.

There is support available for impacted communities.

Prolonged power outage payment:

Households without power for prolonged periods following the storm are eligible. For more details on this payment visit the ESC website.
