Fire Access Track

A Fire Access Track is a track constructed and/or maintained for fire management purposes, and to facilitate rapid access by Country Fire Authority (CFA), Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA), Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) and Fire Rescue Victoria resources into or through particular areas.

Fire Access Tracks are not generally of a standard adequate for all-weather use by two wheel drive vehicles, and are not escape routes for residents. Use of Fire Access Tracks as escape routes by members of the public during a fire event may place users and emergency services at significantly higher risk.

These routes should not be part of your emergency plan.
