Moorabool Shire Council provides a range of services across the Shire.
The community's rates, combined with service fees and charges and grant revenue from state and federal governments, contribute to a range of services Shire wide.
Council plans services across four core program areas:

* Human Services;
* Shire Development; and
* Infrastructure services.
In developing its policies, service programs and facilities, Council takes into consideration the social, economic and environmental impacts on Moorabool and the broader community.
Council assumes a leadership role to establish productive relationships and networks and advocates strongly to other levels of government and other key groups to ensure Moorabool's priorites are well represented.
Its methods of operation reflect openness and honesty with its constituents and an objective of meeting the diverse needs of the different communities that comprise Moorabool Shire.
