Ballan Recreation Reserve

Ballan Recreation Reserve has received a $4million upgrade and the new park and facilities were officially opened in October 2023. 

The upgraded reserve includes three new hard-surface tennis courts, two netball courts, a sporting oval, cricket nets, as well as a playground and picnic facilities.

The redevelopment project included the construction of a new change pavilion consisting of:

• four female friendly change rooms
• umpire change area
• accessible change room (incl. baby change facilities)

The construction of a new social pavilion consisting of:

• function room
• kitchen and bar
• timekeepers/office area
• first aid room
• umpire change area
• storage

Further works have been completed including soft landscaping around the pavilions, the construction of pathways and communal areas, a tiered concourse for spectators with ramp and stair access.

The Ballan Recreation Reserve is the home of several community and sporting groups including the Ballan Football Netball Club, Ballan Cricket Club, and the Ballan Bowls Club.

Ballan Recreation Reserve is owned by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) and is managed by a Committee of Management.
