O Fountain at McLean Reserve

water-fountain.jpg

The ‘O’ Fountain is a contemporary water refilling sculpture, designed to be a functional object and a canvas for art. Moorabool Shire Council has installed this O Fountain, as part of the uplift of AA McLean Reserve, to be a site for temporary art projects undertaken by the local community.

The inaugural activation was initiated by Youth Services in collaboration with the Arts Team at Council, inviting Blackwood artist Kathy Holowko to work with young people to create a new artwork for Ballan. Kathy led a group of six Year 6 art students from St Brigid's Primary School, in an art workshop looking at local flora and fauna. The suite of drawings by the budding artists, have been combined into a playful and evocative artwork celebrating the unique ecology of the region.

On display from 17 December 2025.
