Development plans

A Development Plan is a statutory planning document that must be prepared for land covered by a Development Plan Overlay within a Planning Scheme.

A Development Plan sets out the vision and land use strategy for the development of a site. It will take into account the attributes, character and context of the site and its relationship with the surrounding land. It provides details on what is intended for the future including how the development will be implemented.
