Moorabool Shire Council is advocating to the State Government to provide funding for a business case looking at key aspects of the Ballarat rail line.

With the deluge of rain expected throughout the next few days, Moorabool Shire Council will be opening the following locations as community collection points for sandbags for those who require them:
Friday 1 December and Saturday 2 December between 10am and 3pm
We will be making changes to pool opening times on extremely hot days!
Following some excellent feedback from customers, both the Bacchus Marsh and Ballan pools will stay open until 8pm on days forecast to be 35 degrees or higher.
The Victorian Government has recently reviewed the mapping for the Bushfire Management Overlay (BMO), and our planning scheme maps have been updated to include more properties in the overlay.
Congratulations to the Scotsburn Recovery Committee who last night (27/9) won the Victorian Resilient Australia Community Award.
The award was recognition of the hard work done by the committee over the past 21 months, since the Scotsburn fires late 2015.
After consulting with the community, Moorabool Shire Libraries is pleased to announce it will open Lerderderg Library in Bacchus Marsh until 8pm on Mondays and Thursdays, starting next month.
The section of O’Leary Way south of Werribee Vale Rd, should be open to traffic in the coming weeks.
