Located in Bacchus Marsh, the Bald Hill Activation Project will transform the region into an attractive tourist destination.
Step 1: The Bacchus Marsh 1000+
This project will see the installation of 1000+ steps travelling up Bald Hill. It will also use the existing walking trail on Bald Hill to create a place for exercise, recreation, as well as art spaces.
Moorabool Shire Council is undertaking a reconstruction of the existing Lerderderg Track via funding from Regional Development Victoria. The $750,000 project will see the construction of over 1000 Steps and lookout.
The State Government grant will be used to begin the consultation process which will inform the design of the project, ahead of a potential construction start date of late 2021.
