Located in Bacchus Marsh, the Bald Hill Activation Project will transform the region into an attractive tourist destination.
Step 1: The Bacchus Marsh 1000+
This project will see the installation of 1000+ steps travelling up Bald Hill. It will also use the existing walking trail on Bald Hill to create a place for exercise, recreation, as well as art spaces.
Moorabool Shire Council is undertaking a reconstruction of the existing Lerderderg Track via funding from Regional Development Victoria. The $750,000 project will see the construction of over 1000 Steps and lookout.
Design of the Bacchus Marsh 1000+ is scheduled to be finalised in early 2021, with construction to commence in mid/late 2021.
