Youth Engagement Support (YES) Program

The Youth Engagement Support (YES) program supports young people aged 12-25 years who live, work or study in Moorabool Shire.

The program strives to empower young people who have disengaged or are at risk of disengaging from education or employment. A team of experienced youth workers at Moorabool Shire Council deliver the program in a fun and holistic manner, focusing on health and wellbeing, community participation, education, training and career pathways. An evidence-based approach to youth engagement, participation and wellbeing is utilised, ensuring young people are best supported through programs and activities that prioritise the use of best youth approach research. These activities can involve health and fitness lifestyle training sessions and social nights, movie nights, dinner nights and bowling nights

Young people can be referred to the YES program by several service providers and community members, including but not limited to local primary and secondary schools, law enforcement, parents and carers and youth support agencies. Those aged 18 and older can refer themselves into the program at any time.
