Fruit Picking

What could be better than newly picked fruit, perfectly sweet and fresh from the farm? Well picking it yourself of course!

Bacchus Marsh is known for its fresh fruit and vegetable and is quickly building a reputation as the best place in Victoria to pick your own fruit. The town offers a variety of options for those looking to get their hands dirty in order to have the freshest fruit possible.

The Avenue of Honour is the place to go. With farm fresh produce available from roadside stalls and farm gates, as well as a number of farms allowing you to come into the field and pick your very own fruit.

Scotsburn, located approximately 15 minutes from Ballarat near Buninyong, is also host to both pick-your-own and hand-picked blueberry options.

Fruit available for picking includes:

  • Strawberries and other berries (November - April)
  • Cherries (November, December)
  • Apples (January - May)
  • Peaches and nectarines (December - February)
  • Apricots (January, February)
  • Blueberries (December - March)
