Moorabool Seniors Festival
Published on 16 September 2025
Moorabool Shire Council is proud to be part of the 2025 Victorian Seniors Festival, running throughout October.
The festival recognises and celebrates the valuable contributions older people make to our communities, while providing opportunities to connect, try something new, and enjoy a wide range of events and activities.
This year, the Moorabool Seniors Festival is set to make history by participating for the first time in the Country Concert Tour, part of the Victorian Seniors Festival’s flagship program. The free Moorabool Country Concert, held on Thursday 9 October, at 11am at Bacchus Marsh Public Hall, will bring the community together for a morning of dancing and music from the 60s and 70s, featuring a high-energy live performance from The Stiletto Groove.
This exciting new addition offers local seniors the chance to be part of one of the state’s most celebrated festival events. Bookings are essential for this not-to-be-missed concert. Adding to the festivities, the free Celebrating Connections Seniors Expo will showcase local services, community groups and advocacy organisations.
Moorabool Shire Mayor, Cr Paul Tatchell, said this year’s event was a great opportunity for the community to come together.
“With hands-on demonstrations, a photo booth, BBQ lunch and sweet treats from the ice cream truck, it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect, discover and celebrate community life in Moorabool,” Cr Tatchell said.
“Together, the free Country Concert and Seniors Expo headline a jam-packed 2025 program, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy during this year’s Seniors Festival,” he said.
The Expo will be held on Friday 3 October, from 11am-1pm at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall. To book or to download the full Moorabool Seniors Festival Program Guide, visit www.moorabool.vic.gov.au/events or call Council on 5366 7100
