Public Swimming Pools - 2012/2013 Season
Opening arrangements for the public swimming pools at Bacchus Marsh and Ballan Aquatic Centres for the 2012/2013 season:
Opening Times
11:00 am - 7:00 pm each day for each centre, except for Christmas Day.
Pools may be open outside of these times subject to prevailing weather conditions and Council approval. If the temperature is below 20oC at the scheduled time for opening, or if temperatures are very high, the hours will then be at the discretion of the pool manager.
Swimming Season Dates:
Bacchus Marsh Aquatic Centre - 55 Grant Street, Maddingley
Commences : Saturday 3rd December 2011
Concludes : Sunday 10 March 2012
Ballan Aquatic Centre - 1 Mill Park Street, Ballan
Commences : Saturday 3rd December 2011
Concludes : Sunday 10 March 2012

Management and Operation
Management and operation of the public swimming pools is provided under a contract with Bacchus Marsh Leisure Centre of Moorabool.

Concessions
Pensioner concession rates for season tickets are available at a concession rate of 50% of the normal charge.
Council also has a policy that acknowledges the hardships of its ratepayers who are in receipt of Health Benefits entitlements. In this regard the following concessions are available:
1. That concession seasons tickets for entry to the Bacchus Marsh Swimming Pool and Ballan Swimming Pool be made available and the concession rate be 50% of the cost of the adult ticket;
2. That the criteria for granting concession season tickets be on the basis of the applicant being in receipt of a current Health Benefits Card with an additional Transport Concession entitlement.
NB - Companion Cards are accepted at both BM & Ballan Pools
