NGV Kids on Tour - Let's Party - Ballan Library
Next date: Wednesday, 14 January 2026 | 10:00 AM
to 11:00 AM
Join in a range of activities inspired by the NGV exhibition, Let’s Party! Fashion for Kids Designed by Danielle Brustman
ACTIVITY 1: MAKE A PARTY HAT
We wear hats for many reasons. Hats can protect us from the sun, rain or cold weather. They can also be part of a uniform, express style, or represent a special tradition or celebration. A party hat is usually cone-shaped and secured with an elastic string under your chin. It’s often worn at birthday parties or celebrations like New Year’s Eve.
In this activity, children are invited to decorate a party hat with stickers. Making and wearing party hats helps kids develop, fine motor skills.
ACTIVITY 2: TAKE THE CAKE
Cakes are more than just sweet treats, they’re symbols of celebration, tradition and togetherness. From birthdays to cultural milestones, they mark life’s special moments. In this activity, children are invited to draw their own celebration cake, using their imagination and creativity to capture memories of special occasions.
ACTIVITY 3: PARTY GAMES
From birthdays to family gatherings, party games are a chance to play together, make new friends and enjoy the spirit of the party.
In this activity, children are invited to take part in party games that everyone can enjoy. With imagination, teamwork and a little friendly competition, each game becomes a chance to connect, celebrate and have fun together.
This a drop in session. Bookings are not required.
