Following approval from the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP), Council will begin installing new speed limit signages along sections of Yankee Flat Road in the coming weeks (September 2026).
The approved speed limit changes on Yankee Flat Road are:
✅ Ramage Road to Navigators Road: Speed limit reduced from 100 km/h to 80 km/h
✅ Yendon No. 1 Road to Ramage Road: Speed limit reduced from 80 km/h to 60 km/h
The revised speed limits are intended to improve safety for all road users by reducing vehicle speeds, improving driver reaction times, and creating a safer environment for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and local residents.
Once the new signages have been installed, motorists are requested to observe and comply with the revised speed limits to help improve safety for all road users.
