Property owners are responsible for building and maintaining fences on their property. If you want to build or repair a dividing fence, you will need to talk to the person who owns the neighbouring property. If you share a fence with a neighbour, you can also discuss sharing fencing costs.

Disputes regarding fencing between neighbours is a civil matter. As such Council cannot intervene.
