Woven flowers made from a single New Zealand Flax Leaf are an ideal project for beginners of basket weaving.
Participants will learn how to collect and store the leaves and soften them in preparation for weaving. Dyeing and painting the dried flowers will be demonstrated.
All materials and equipment will be provided. Tea and coffee will be provided, BYO lunch.
The workshop will be run by Sue Dilley. Sue is a post president of the Basketmakers of Victoria and a member for 20 years. She is a member of the Bacchus Marsh Basketmakers who meet at the Lerderderg Library on the third Thursday of the month, 12noon to 4pm.
