Federation Park

Federation Park Darley

Federation Park in Darley sits alongside the Lerderderg River and offers travellers a lovely stop-over destination between Bacchus Marsh and Gisborne.

Federation Park hosts a playground, grassed open spaces, and public toilets, and within the rotunda are a series of historical panels and plaques commemorating the former Darley Camp.

The Darley military camp was established nearby in 1940 as a training centre for thousands of women for the Australian Army, both in the Australian Women's Army Service (AWAS) and the Australian Army Medical Women's Service during the Second World War.

Today the park is a wonderful spot to explore and is an off-leash area for dogs.
