Due to the high temperature forecast, Thursday rural and urban kerbside collection will take place at 5am instead of 6am.Affected areas include the Thursday collection areas of Bacchus Marsh, Bungaree, Wallace, Pootilla, Glenpark, Clarkes Hill and Bullarook. Come along to the launch of the Moorabool Shire Council Community Quilt Against Gender-Based Violence on Saturday 10 December, International Human Rights Day, the final day of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 2022, Respect Women: ‘Call it Out’. The Quilt will be part of the Moorabool Shire Council art collection and displayed across the Shire.
It has been wonderful to see the Moorabool community come together and contribute to the quilt, discussing what respect is. This morning tea will see the unveiling of the community quilt and all project contributors and interested community members are invited to attend. There will be entertainment and interesting discussion about the project and why the 16 Days of Activism are so important.
The event will be held on Saturday December 10th 10.30am - 12pm at the Lerderderg Library, 215 Main St, Bacchus Marsh.
