Help shape Ballan's future as a cycling tourism destination. The Ballan Cycling Hub Feasibility Study is exploring opportunities to attract visitors through regional cycling links. The project is co-funded by Council and the Victorian State Government through the Tiny Towns Fund.

The purpose of the Ballan Cycling Hub feasibility study is to explore opportunities to support cycling activity in and around Ballan. Council will examine levels of interest in cycling, along with possible economic, social and health benefits for the local area. The study will also consider community views and whether there may be opportunities to improve connections between Ballan and visitor destinations such as Daylesford, Blackwood, Creswick and Geelong.

The study will include research and data collection, consultation with local stakeholders, and consideration of how the concept may align with existing regional plans and strategies. It will also identify potential infrastructure needs, provide indicative cost considerations, and outline any challenges or constraints that may need to be taken into account.

The study aims to better understand whether cycling tourism could present future opportunities for Ballan, including potential benefits for local businesses, health and wellbeing outcomes, community connections, and regional connectivity.
