Moorabool Shire Council are applying for a grant and we would like to hear your views in relation to a fully accessible mobile toilet called Marveloo or a toilet at a fixed location, which caters for people with high care needs.

It is important that we hear your views to support our application. Please complete our survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KC9NLG6. The Survey is open until 6 October.

Find out more about Changing Places .

The Marveloo which caters to people with high care needs is purpose built. Its many special features include a fully accessible toilet, overhead ceiling hoist, height adjustable adult change table, modesty curtain, additional seating, heating and cooling, a safe and clean environment, adequate space, an automatic door, access ramp and an external sun shade.

Marveloo has been designed to meet the needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, their carers and the many other disabled people who are unable to use standard accessible toilets.

Changing Places are fully accessible toilets with adult-sized change tables and hoists for people with a disability who cannot use regular public toilets. Without Changing Places, people with complex disabilities and their carers find it extremely difficult to leave the house for more than a few hours at a time.

The Victorian Government is funding the construction of 15 new Changing Places facilities. This funding forms part of $3.3 million in funding announced through the Victorian Budget 2016-17 to kick-start initiatives under the Victorian State Disability Plan 2017-2020. This survey will help inform where Changing Places facilities are needed as Moorabool Shire Council is applying to the State Government to fund a changing places facility in our Shire.

We appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey as this information will be used to support our application to fund a Changing Places facility in Moorabool Shire.
