Respite care aims to provide primary carers with a break from their usual caring responsibilities and duties. Respite care provides the primary carer with an opportunity to enjoy social activities, attend appointments, shopping or participate in leisure activities, whilst also providing enjoyable activities for the person being cared for. Respite care can be provided within the home or local community.

Respite care can be allocated hours provided at the same time each week, fortnight or month. It can also be requested for an irregular time. Requests should be made at least 5 working days in advance where possible.

  • Dementia group runs on a Tuesday and Wednesday in Bacchus Marsh.
  • A ladies group runs once a month for 2 hours.
