Council is waiving outdoor dining permit fees for the hospitality industry until 30 June 2021.
Council welcomes the announcement that regional Victoria will move to the third step out of restrictions from 11.59pm on Wednesday 16 September.
In line with the lifting of restrictions, Premier Daniel Andrews announced the Victorian Government’s Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package of $87.5 million. Businesses can apply for funds to purchase outdoor dining equipment to serve patrons outside, with customer limits and social distancing requirements. The State Government has released accommodation and food service sector guidelines.
Council is waiving outdoor dining permit fees for the hospitality industry until 30 June 2021. This announcement will further support businesses, where appropriate, to offer immediate outdoor dining options to increase their serving capacity.
To request outdoor dining, this application form outlines the information you will need to provide to Council. Before any items are placed on Council footpaths or roads a permit must be obtained.
