The Environment Protection Authority (EPA Victoria) has issued an air quality warning for Victoria as a result of the bushfires. Air quality monitoring for the Central Region (including Bacchus Marsh and Ballan) is currently classed as ‘Hazardous’.
The safety of our community and our staff is our number one priority.
As a result of the EPA advice, Council has closed the outdoor swimming pools at Bacchus Marsh and Ballan.
A decision on when to re-open these pools will be made based on EPA air quality advice.
