Moorabool Shire Council is delivering the Moorabool Regional Sports Hub in Maddingley. This will bring much needed state-of-the-art sports and recreation infrastructure to local clubs and the community.
As part of the Moorabool Regional Community Sports Hub Project, works between February to late July 2020 include construction activities for two pavilions, roads, carpark, and utility services. Works will occur during the day within designated construction zones at the Bacchus Marsh Racecourse and Recreation Reserve (weather permitting).
What to expect:
An active and extensive work zone across many of the Stage 1 project construction components.
Construction of roads, carparks and services are underway with completion anticipated by late March 2020.
Construction of the equestrian and sports pavilions is scheduled to commence in early March 2020 with completion anticipated by late July 2020.
Reserve access via the main access road will be maintained, with restrictions at certain times.
Access to the north of the reserve is available via the new access way (opposite Rutherford Court).
Traffic management will be in place and contractor staff will assist traffic to safely access the area.
Temporary disruption of services including power and water supply.
Activity and noise will be noticeable from construction machinery.
User groups and members of the public will have restricted access to the new sports oval, BMX and equestrian areas during these times.
How this will affect you?
You will need to obey all signage in place.
You must be aware of construction vehicles.
You must follow any directions provided by contractors on site.
Temporary fencing will be in place where required, including during construction of the pavilions.
We will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum, however, these activities will generate some noise that may be noticeable to user group members.
