Nominate them for a Moorabool Shire Council Access and Inclusion Award.
With nominations now open, Council is inviting residents to identify those in the Moorabool community who increase opportunities for inclusion and participation for people living with a disability. Entries close on 31 October.
Mayor Cr David Edwards is encouraging people to nominate an individual or business in Moorabool who is working to improve access and inclusion for people living with a disability.
“Moorabool is a great place to live, work and play. It is also a region that welcomes people of all abilities. Our Access and Inclusion awards are a chance for us to recognise and celebrate those who better the lives of people living with a disability,” Cr Edwards said.
“For Moorabool to thrive, we must all be able to undertake this journey together. Inclusivity is part of the Moorabool culture - let’s celebrate those who ensure it will continue to be for years to come.”
Residents can nominate the achievements of individuals, teams and organisations from two categories:
Business and/or community organisations that actively seeks to ensure access and inclusion for people living with a disability.
Leadership in advancing the rights and interests of people living with a disability.
