Latest changes to Council services

To help contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and keep Victorians safe, State Government has extended the State of Emergency to 19 July.

Following this, Council has implemented the below changes to services:

  • Lerderderg Library is allowing a maximum of 20 people to browse the collection.
  • Ballan Library is allowing a maximum of 3 people to browse the collection.
  • Currently, computer use, Council payments and meeting rooms are not available at Ballan and Lerderderg Library.
  • MCH Face to Face appointments have resumed for the following clients:
  • Babies aged 0-8 weeks;
  • Families that identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island;
  • Families with additional needs;
  • Face to Face appointments for all babies aged 0-8 weeks who have not had a physical assessment during COVID since 20 March 2020. As well as other clients as determined by the nurse/MCH Coordinator.

The following remain temporarily closed:

  • Face to face customer service at Ballan, Darley and Lerderderg Library;
  • Occasional Care, Darley Early Years Hub;
  • Senior Citizens Centres;
  • QUAMBY room programs;
  • Visitor Information Centre, Bacchus Marsh;
  • Bacchus Marsh Leisure Centre (including exercise classes);
  • The Hub and Pavilion rooms at Darley will be unavailable for public hire;
  • Committee of Management-run recreation facilities will not take bookings for sports/event hire.
