I want to reach out to all in the Moorabool Community and wish you a safe and happy Easter. I am so proud of how well our community has adjusted and banded together during these unprecedented times. We still only have one case of coronavirus in Moorabool, and that is because you are all continuing to follow government advice. Thank you for staying home.

As we head into a new way of celebrating Easter, I want to ensure all kids that the Easter Bunny has Federal Government approval to travel across Moorabool Shire and will be practicing social distancing along the way. Our Easter egg hunts and celebrations are going to be little different this year, but it is still an important time to reach out to your loved ones. There are only four reasons to leave the house over this long weekend:

  • Shopping for essentials
  • Exercise
  • Medical care
  • Work and education

Unfortunately, this does mean our playgrounds are still closed, and you cannot head to the park for a picnic or to gather with a group of friends.

Thank you all for understanding and continuing to protect yourselves and each other.

Happy Easter to you all.

Thank you,

Cr David Edwards.
