A fantastic morning at the opening of the BMX track and multipurpose oval at Bacchus Marsh Racecourse and Recreation Reserve on 17 November.
Our new Mayor Cr David Edwards joined Council staff, Member for Melton Steve McGhie and representatives from the BMX Club and the Bacchus Marsh Soccer Club at the ribbon cutting.
The BMX club kicked off its first clubby at the new venue after official proceedings. The track has come up a treat!
The entire redevelopment of the site will, when finished, have:
2 soccer pitches and a cricket field
2 additional soccer pitches
Cricket practice nets
BMX track to national standard
Multipurpose sports pavilion
Relocation of the pony club
8 dressage arenas
Pavilion for equestrian use
A shared path to the site.
