Moorabool Shire Council CEO Rob Croxford announced this week that Council has appointed a project manager for the Blackwood Localised Septic Program.
James Maw has been appointed to the role and will start in the job in four weeks’ time.
“This is a joint position funded by Central Highlands Water and Council in order to address the septic issue in Blackwood with the discontinuation of the Blackwood Sewerage Project,’ Mr Croxford said.
“James has previously worked as an environmental health officer with other councils and more recently managed his own consulting business.
"As soon as James starts, we will be working with Central Highlands Water and the local community to put in place processes and contractors to address the communities’ needs," Mr Croxford said.
