What is the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)?

NDIS is a new way of providing support to people in Australia under the age of 65 living with a permanent disability.

Further information can be found on the NDIS website(link is external).

Moorabool Shire Council is not an NDIS provider.

What does this mean?

  • If you receive an NDIS approved plan you can only access services through an NDIS approved service provider
  • This means you would not be able to access services through our Home and Community Care Program
  • If you are currently receiving our Home and Community Care services, we encourage you to contact the NDIS to check your eligibility

What happens if I am not eligible for NDIS?

  • If you are living with a disability aged under 65 years and not eligible for the NDIS, we will continue to provide you with our quality services
