What could be better than newly picked fruit, perfectly sweet and fresh from the farm? Well picking it yourself of course!

Bacchus Marsh is known for its fresh fruit and vegetable and is quickly building a reputation as the best place in Victoria to go to pick your own fruit. The town offers a variety of options for those looking to get their hands dirty in order to have the freshest fruit possible.

The Avenue of Honour is the place to go. With farm fresh produce available from roadside stalls and farmgates, as well as a number of farms allowing you to come into the field and pick your very own fruit.

Fruit available for picking includes:

  • Strawberries and other berries (November - April)
  • Cherries (November, December)
  • Apples (January - May)
  • Peaches and nectarines (December - February)
  • Apricots (January, February)
