About the committee

Following the endorsement of Council’s first public art and collections policy in June 2022 Council is seeking committee members to represent the arts community and help make our city a vibrant place to live. Join the Moorabool Shire Council’s Public Art and Collections Advisory Committee (PACAC) to have your say on the direction of public art in the shire and how Council manages its art collection.

Council encourages applications from people with a connection to the creative industries, and those who have exhibition, public art, community engagement or education experience. Council encourages those who live and / or work in the Shire and are passionate about our community to apply.

The Public Art and Collections Advisory Committee is an exciting opportunity to advise on the public art and collections commissions in our rapidly growing Shire and to inform the direction of public art going forward.

Selection process

Council will select six committee members to represent the community on the PACAC through an open expression of interest process. Appointment to the committee will be based on relevant experience and connection to the local area. First nations community members are strongly encouraged to consider applying.

Please ensure you include relevant details of your experience with the creative industries in your application. Council encourages all applicants to thoroughly read the Public Art and Collections Policy(PDF, 193KB) and the Terms of Reference(PDF, 139KB) (TOR) for the committee prior to applying and review the meeting schedule below.
