You may have noticed Moorabool Shire Council has started to roll-out a modified logo, adopted by Council recently.

We have updated and freshened our logo because our old logo had accessibility issues with the colours and font, and we want to ensure our collateral and services are accessible for everyone!

With the new logo:

  • The colours meet AA accessibility colour contrast standards

  • Black, left aligned, sentence case text improves readability, is more contemporary and more aligned with best practice accessibility standards

  • Squarer shape so more suitable for social media use

  • Wavy black lines of existing logo have been removed, which improves readability

As the design is similar, the logo will remain easily recognisable.

We have kept the adoption and roll-out of this logo as low-cost as possible. Consultation was done in-house using our existing channels (ie Facebook and our Have Your Say portal) and the roll-out on our assets (materials, street signs, uniforms etc) will only be done as required, so there will be no additional cost to Council.
