Eligibility Criteria

  • Awards presented in the following age categories - 13 to 17 years and 18 - 25 years
  • Nominated Young People must be aged between 13 and 25 years and must live in the Moorabool Shire

Youth Award Categories

  • Community Development Award: Recognises a young person who has played a significant role in generating solutions to common problems. This young person is creative, driven and is passionate about change within the community

  • Group Project Award: Recognises a group of young people who have implemented a project either at school or in the community, with the aim of delivering a positive outcome

  • Inclusion and Diversity Award: Celebrates a young person who has contributed to creating a welcoming and safe community. This person is dedicated to building an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates our diverse voices

  • Personal Growth Award: Recognises a young person who has demonstrated resilience in overcoming challenges and has used these challenges as a steppingstone to help and motivate others by contributing to the community

  • Creative Art Award: Recognises a young person’s creativity and talent. This young person has used their passion and creativity skills to inspire others through music, media, dance or visual art.

  • Positive Influencer Award: Recognises a young person who has had a positive influence on a peer or member of the community. This young person has demonstrated leadership while working with others in an encouraging and helpful way

  • Volunteer Award: Recognises a young person who has contributed to the community through volunteering. This person has demonstrated great dedication and commitment to a volunteer program
