Tourism and destination management plan industry workshop

Moorabool Shire Council’s Economic Development team, along with Tourism Midwest and Stafford Strategy invite you to have your say on strategic plans to improve our region’s visitor economy by attending this workshop. 

Tourism and destination management plan (DMP) specialists, Stafford Strategy are preparing a seven-year DMP along with several Local Area Actions Plans (LAAPs). 

The DMP will:

• deliver strategic actions to support and strengthen the tourism industry’s recovery from the pandemic and help build resilience

• inform the development of LAAPs for the City of Ballarat, and Moorabool and Pyrenees Shire’s.

As part of the initial consultation, a survey was distributed across the region to gain insights from key stakeholders involving Councillors, internal staff, and industry stakeholders and a workshop was held on Tuesday 5 September to present the survey findings. 

This second dedicated industry workshop with the consultants will further inform the DMP and LAAP.
