Would you like to join a Pop-up choir to help raise awareness about the 16 Days of Activism? Discover the joys of singing, join our pop-up choir and learning three easy songs. The choir will pop up in Ballan and Bacchus Marsh over the 16 Days.

Come alone, bring friends or family. No singing experience necessary just bring your willingness and enthusiasm!

All ages, abilities, singing experience and gender are welcome to participate - we welcome all support the elimination of Gender-Based Violence. The songs have been selected to allow singers of all abilities to participate including beginners and those with more experience. 

Next Rehearsal dates:

Thursday November 23 - 7pm - 8pm, Lerderderg Library, 215 Main St, Bacchus Marsh
Thursday December 7 - 7pm - 8pm, Ballan Mechanics Institute, 143 Main Street, Ballan

Pop-up Performances

Saturday 25 November - 10.30am – location in Bacchus Marsh
Saturday 9 December - 10.30am – location in Ballan.

The Pop Up Choir will be led by Elly McKinnon is an accomplished vocalist, intuitive vocal coach, experienced performer, and facilitator of various music programs. Elly works with singers of all ages and abilities to unlock their vocal ability, build confidence, encourage social connections, and provide access to interactive musical experiences.

What is the 16 Days of Activism

The United Nation’s international campaign 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, takes place each year from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) until 10 December (International Human Rights Day).  This year’s theme is Respect Women: Call It Out (Respect Is)
