Moorabool’s Storm Recovery Team are hosting two community catch ups to acknowledge one year since the June 2021 storm.

With over 1,000 properties impacted across the Shire and thousands of trees down in our forest and on private land, we’re holding these get togethers to acknowledge the impact this event had on our community and everything we’ve done to recover since.

We’re also launching our Storm Recovery Book at these events – a collection of community stories and photos that document the night of the storm and the recovery journey since.

The community catch up events will include:

  • A chance to chat to representatives from emergency services & recovery agencies
  • Free spit roast lunch
  • Face painting & activities for kids
  • Coffee van
  • Fairy floss/popcorn/slushies
  • Free copy of storm book
  • BYO chair & coat
  • Free copy of the Storm Recovery Book
