Capital Improvement Program

In the upcoming 24/25 financial year we are embarking on a capital works program, allocating a substantial $55.89 million budget to enhance our community’s infrastructure and facilities.

This comprehensive program encompasses a diverse range of projects, spanning roads, community facilities, properties, and drainage improvements.

The Capital Improvement Program is funded by rate revenue, government grants, and financial support from state and federal government agencies. This multi-faceted approach ensures we can undertake these vital projects.

Refer to the map below for an insight into project locations and planned delivery times.

Maddingley Park footpath renewal

Works starting: January 2025

Expected completion: April 2025

Renewal works of the existing pathways in Maddingley Park will begin next week, kicking off a priority project from the Maddingley Park Master Plan (adopted by Council in 2023).

Works will directly affect the pathway from the main gate (corner of Grant and Taverner streets) to the Station Street exit, as well as the pathway running from the lawn tennis courts up to the children's playground (Taverner Street exit).

Renewal includes replacing the existing spray seal path with concrete matching the existing concrete paths within the park.
The pathway works will be constructed in stages to minimise disruption, however residents will be affected during construction works with minor detours in place.

Apart from the sections of pathways under construction, access to Maddingley Park will not be restricted for the duration of the project.

Works are expected to be complete in 6-7 weeks.
