Choose to pound the pavement on one of three course options, taking in the new Halletts/O’Leary Way road alignment as well as sections of walking trail alongside the Werribee River.

Despite encountering significant delays due to weather, including flooding of the Werribee River, the Halletts/O’Leary Way southern extension project is now days away from completion.
This major milestone is the largest infrastructure project ever delivered by Council, and will provide a western link road for Bacchus Marsh. To celebrate the achievement, an official opening and community event will be held Sunday 13 August 2017, including the first ever Moorabool Run 4 Fun! The event will include project presentations, kids activities and a fun run along sections of the new road.
Participants will have the option to take part in a 1km, 4km or 5km course commencing from the main event site.Please see the Course Overview for more details.

The event is free, however residents who would like to participate in one of the three courses are encouraged to register as an individual, team or family.
Online registrations are closed. Hard copy registrations will also be taken between 10am and 4pm at the Lerderderg Library on Saturday 12 August, or between 9am and 10am on site, Sunday 13 August.
Bibs ccan be collected between 10am and 4pm at the Lerderderg Library on Saturday 12 August, or between 9am and 10am on site on Sunday 13 August.
A water bottle refill station will be available at the main event area. Limited drink stations will also be included along the run course. It is recommended that you bring your own water bottle on the day.
A number of portable toilets will be available at the main event area and public toilets are located along the river trail (see course overview)
First Aid will be available at the main event area.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a runner to participate in this event?
Absolutely not! There are plenty of events out there to test speed and performance, but this is not one of them! This is an all abilities event; run, walk or even cartwheel if you like!
Is there an age limit for younger participants?
No. Anyone who can make the course distance is eligible to participate. We are encouraging registrations for all participants for the purpose of organising the event and arranging race bibs.
Can I attend the event if I am not participating in the fun run?
Yes! We are encouraging the whole community to attend to hear about the Halletts Way project, watch or participate in the run and enjoy the other free activities on site.
