Free Green Waste Disposal
Operational Requirements for Free Greenwaste Disposal from 3 October to 7 November 2009.
Council is offering free Greenwaste disposal during the period 3 October to 7 November 2009, to assist Communities prepare for the fire season.
Please note there are operational constraints that apply to this offer.
Due to limited area and Council's permit conditions, there is limited capacity to deposit Greenwaste at both Bacchus Marsh and Mt Egerton Transfer Stations.
In the event that these skips have reached their capacity, you will be diverted to Ballan Transfer Station.
To avoid these delays, people are strongly encouraged to take the Free Greenwaste directly to the Ballan Transfer Station.
To accommodate the extra traffic, we will be opening the Ballan Transfer Station one hour earlier each day.
The operating times will be 12noon until 5pm, and closed on Tuesdays during this period.
It is noted that the free tipping applies to Moorabool Shire residents only. Proof of residency will be required.
It is also expected that this tipping is genuine fire season preparation.
